Lane 8 announces ‘most dancefloor focused album yet,’ shares ‘Reviver’ title track

Lane 8 had already begun to build a case for his eventual title of Dancing Astronaut‘s 2020 Artist of the Year when he delivered Brightest Lights at the onset of 2020, and he’s now looking to start 2022 off in the same exact fashion. Following back-to-back nights at Colorado’s iconic Red Rocks, Lane 8 unsuspectingly publicized that his fourth album Reviver would be arriving on January 21, 2022. Prefacing it in a similar way that he does with all seasonal mixtapes, the This Never Happened helmer simply tweeted out “i made you a new album” and attaching the message with the LP’s 13-part tracklist, which includes appearances from Emmit Fenn, Solomon Grey, Arctic Lake, and more.

To get the Reviver ball immediately rolling, Lane 8 decided to share the first look into his “most dancefloor focused album yet,” delivering the project’s title number ahead of his circuitGROUNDS placement at EDC Las Vegas. Fittingly used as the finale ID to his “Fall 2021 Mixtape” and the same cut he used to soundtrack his introduction at Red Rocks, “Reviver” instantaneously corroborates the musical forecast Lane 8 gave for his album, setting a more than promising tone for what may be his most refined body of work in the process.
