With the Biden administration’s goal of administering 100 million COVID-19 vaccines in the first 100 days of the presidency reached 42 days early, sentiments about society’s eventual return to normalcy are growing increasingly positive. Lollapalooza founder Perry Farrell is among the optimistic, and recently took to social media with a message for the festival’s fans.

In a video posted to Twitter on March 20, Farrell can be seen post-vaccination exclaiming, “I hold in my hands my license to party! I will see you at Lollapalooza soon.” Although 2021 dates have been specified for other Lollapalooza events, such as the Stockholm, Sweden iteration, there have been no official announcements regarding Lollapalooza’s return to Chicago’s Grant Park as of yet. However, Farrell’s video statement suggests that there might be hope for the continuation of Lollapalooza 2021, despite ongoing festival postponements.
