Few names carry quite the same legacy as legendary UK producer and DJ, Mark Knight. With his double-decade career including official remixes for the likes of Avicii, David Guetta, Whitney Houston, and Florence + The Machine, Knight has unveiled his latest dance classic on his very own Toolroom Records label. The iconic imprint, which has played host to a flurry of the biggest anthems across the Ibiza scene and beyond in recent years, is celebrating 20 years at the summit of dance music in 2023. And what finer way to kick off the festivities than with ”Make You Happy.”
The track, a collaboration with Todd Terry and the Darryl James & David Anthony Project, dives straight back into that classic ’90s house sound, as Knight delivers a taste of one of his finest productions to date. The release came about after he unearthed Terry’s edit of ”Buddah” by James & Anthony, shaping up a seriously killer reworking of this gem fresh for the dance floor in 2023. Having road-tested this one on dance floors around the world toward the back end of 2022, it’s safe to say that ”Make You Happy” is another certified hit from the Toolroom boss.
