With the two-year anniversary of RÜFÜS DU SOL‘s Solace having just passed on October 18, inquiries about what the Grammy-nominated triad have been scheming are surely reasonable. After originally teasing that their summer revision of Lastlings‘ “No Time” was just “one of the many things” to come, RÜFÜS DU SOL have now reassured fans of the statement’s precise meaning with the confirmation of their fourth album.
In a Twitter thread surrounding their Headphone Selections playlist, which the trio introduced earlier in the year as an outlet to showcase music as well as producers to specifically watch out for, RÜFÜS DU SOL added the subtle tidbit that a currently unnamed LP is being worked on “every day,” thanking everyone for staying patient.
While the countdown now officially ensues for that eventual day, RÜFÜS DU SOL still maintain an abundance of content from just 2020 alone, including their monthly Rose Ave Radio mix catalog in addition to their historic Joshua Tree performance from the top of the year.
If this playlist is able to connect a couple of fans with artists, then we are happy to be able to play a small role in that. For those asking us each week, yes we are working on a new album. Working on it every day. Thank you for patiently waiting.
