Following his tragic and untimely passing in 2018, there have been many unique and thoughtful tributes for beloved Swedish DJ/producer Avicii, including a church service set entirely to Avicii songs, a tribute concert with performances from artists like Kygo and David Guetta, and now, a second iteration of the original Avicii-themed video game.
In a newly-released demo for AVICII Invector: Encore Edition, players fly through outer space, hitting notes and targets, all set to a soundtrack of Avicii’s greatest hits. The demo is currently available at no cost on the Nintendo Switch.
AVICII Invector: Encore Edition, to be released in full on Sepember 8, is a follow-up to an earlier version of AVICII Invector and a precursor to the full game. New features will include expanded, never-before-seen levels and additional Avicii tracks for players to choose from.
25 percent of all profits from the new game will be given to the Tim Bergling Foundation, a charity created by Avicii’s family to support scientists and medical professionals working in the mental health field, specifically those focused on suicide prevention.
