Cactus Jack has kept busy during quarantine, though, there’s a reason Travis Scott currently sits atop rap’s highest echelon—he rarely lets a good opportunity go by. In a new cover feature for GQ‘s Change is Good issue, Scott recently shared some exciting details about what he currently has stashed up his sleeve. The Houston-native rapper both confirms a new joint project with Kid Cudi following the pair’s smash collaboration “THE SCOTTS,” as well as a new track featured in Christopher Nolan’s long-delayed, feverishly anticipated blockbuster, Tenet. The feature also includes Scott showing off a prototype of something that’s only listed in the piece as “redacted,” so let your imagination run wild.
Billed together as THE SCOTTS, Cudi and La Flame have already raked in the largest single-day streaming debut of 2020 earlier this spring with their self-titled debut single, pointing to a joint project that already has astronomical charting potential. Though a release date has yet to be shared, a number of tracks from the album are reportedly already canned and ready to go. What’s more—Scott affirms what we’ve all already known for some time, having already seen Tenet, confirming it is indeed, “fire.” In the interview, La Flame goes on to address his relationship with Kanye West, his new insights post-Astroworld, and what comes next.
