Outside of occasional Instagram story updates, Ultra Music Festival has taken a backseat after becoming the first major festival domino to fall due to the COVID-19 pandemic in early March. In a statement issued on October 5, organizers of Ultra Taiwan—a licensed Ultra Worldwide member—announced an unanticipated sophomore return to Taipei for November 14, 2020.
Having first debuted in 2018, Road to Ultra Taiwan previously skipped its 2019 iteration but is officially returning this fall on the basis that its host country effectively prevented a widespread coronavirus outbreak in the spring. Alesso, Kayzo, SLANDER, Vini Vici and a handful of other supporting acts will hit the decks this November as Taiwan’s festival season continues to power on as other parts of the world continue their attempts to stop COVID-19.
