Romania’s jewel, UNTOLD Festival, is now expanding its footprint to a city built with wonder in mind — Dubai. The gem of the Middle East, Dubai is gearing up for a spectacular musical first bringing one of Europe’s premiere festival experiences to Expo City in February 2024.
In a teaser for the festival’s grand unveiling, Armin van Buuren and UNTOLD Dubai pulled off a breath-taking and unprecedented performance at the top of the Burj Khalfia. From the 149th floor, Armin dazzled for 41 minutes, making him the first DJ to ever perform at atop the towering skyscraper.
Not to be outdone by an ordinary festival visuals, the world’s tallest building transformed into the world’s largest LED screen, dwarfing even the largest festival productions. The colossal achievement and Armin’s surreal performance was captured by 18 cameras and drones to experience the event from every possible angle.

Throughout the 41-minute set, the Burj Khalifa’s LEDs vibrated in harmony with Armin’s impeccable song selection. A fitting kick off that captivated the entire city and set the stage for UNTOLD’s hotly-anticipated Dubai premiere.
Slated for February 2024, UNTOLD Dubai promises a stellar line-up of global artists and — if this is teaser is any indication — a production that promises to astonish.
