Bob Moses ink exclusive Twitch deal, prep debut livestream

Livestream concerts have been a gift amid the ongoing pandemic, allowing fans to get their live music fix in the safest means possible. Twitch is looking to capitalize on this phenomenon, and in increasing efforts to do so has just secured an exclusive livestream arrangement with electronic music duo Bob Moses.

Twitch has recently been aggressive in their acquisitions to secure their spot as the leading livestream concert platform. In July, the Amazon property inked a deal with prominent rhymer Logic to the tune of seven figures. Bob Moses recently spoke to Rolling Stone, stating that Twitch would be funding future livestream production costs for themselves and their label. Bob Moses’ Jimmy Vallance said,

“For us, it’s really about fan engagement and fan connection. Without playing shows, that’s gone. What can we share that we do naturally? If we become twitch stars naturally, great, but we’re not going to be changing our lane to make that happen.”

The duo’s Twitch debut takes place October 23, at 10:00 p.m. EST (7:00 PST), broadcasting from an abandoned radio tower in Los Angeles. Though the exact number of future livestream events have not been specified, viewers can expect all future Bob Moses performances alongside exclusive studio sessions to appear on Twitch.
