Earlier this week, President Trump took to Twitter to discuss his views on the decision by NYC officials to paint “BLACK LIVES MATTER” on Fifth Avenue in the Big Apple following the painting of the BLM slogan in front of the White House just weeks ago.
“NYC is cutting Police $’s by ONE BILLION DOLLARS, and yet the @NYCMayor
is going to paint a big, expensive, yellow Black Lives Matter sign on Fifth Avenue, denigrating this luxury Avenue,” Trump began his tweet on Wednesday.
In the previous tweet before the one above, Trump criticized the protesters who have been destroying and toppling Confederate monuments around the country, with advocates stating that BLM is a “Marxist” organization.
