DJ Akademiks & 6ix9ine Sound Off On Meek Mill: ‘Your Last Four Songs Flopped’

Akademiks and Meek Mill have been in the news more frequently than usual over the past few weeks. Surprisingly, Tekashi 6ix9ine has taken a step back from his usually Instagram trolling and posts. Instead, he has only promoted his new single, “Yaya.”

Since his release from prison, 6ix9ine has caught a lot of heat from rappers for his cooperation with the law in order to shorten his prison sentence. The 24-year-old rapper joined his good friend DJ Akademiks on Instagram Live on Monday to get some things off of his chest. His constant verbal sparring on social with Meek Mill over the past few months has kept his eyes glued to his Twitter. Now Meek has turned his attention to known Hip-Hop Blogger and commentator, DJ Akademiks.

It started when Meek called for Akademiks to stop posting him on his Instagram. Akademiks gladly agreed to stop doing so. Not too long after, the “Dreams & Nightmares” fired off on the AK, saying he is canceled. Akademiks simply responded by saying, “You can’t cancel anyone Meek.”

On Monday’s Instagram Live, Akademiks called out Meek for his alleged hypocrisy. AK also doubled down on his previous tweet as well.

“You don’t run nothing ni**a,” exclaimed AK. “Your last four songs flopped, the f**k would I want to post you for?”

6ix9ine also called out Meek for his alleged hypocrisy.

“Meek Mill is signed to Rick Ross, a correctional officer, and then has a distribution deal with Roc Nation. The CEO of Roc Nation is a cooperating witness that took down two cartels,” said 6ix9ine. You’re signed to a cop and managed by a rat.”

In his comments, Tekashi is referring to Rick Ross’ previous Corrections career prior to music. No one knows when this beef will end, but you can watch both part 1 and 2 to Monday’s IG Lives below.
