NOODLE Thinkers Convention Draws 4,000 Attendees in Newport News Debut

The inaugural NOODLE Thinkers Convention brought 4,000 attendees to Newport News for a landmark weekend of conversations on innovation, entrepreneurship, wellness, and culture. Held in the city’s vibrant Yard District, the event successfully established itself as a premier destination for thought leadership and community engagement.

The convention featured a diverse and high-profile lineup of speakers, artists, and creatives. Among the notable participants were A$AP Rocky, entrepreneur Daymond John, and Newport News Mayor Phillip Jones, who engaged in a compelling panel discussion curated by Terrence J. The event’s programming was designed to bridge the gap between entertainment and education, offering attendees a unique space for networking and meaningful dialogue.

Additional programming included appearances from Rhett & Link, Aisha Bowe, The D.O.C., Styles P, Fam-Lay, Maejor, and James Fauntleroy. The convention also integrated music-focused experiences, with Aloe Blacc opening the weekend with an RNB Block Party, while CeeLo Green and Jermaine Dupri provided high-energy performances and DJ sets.

Founder Antonio Dowe emphasized that NOODLE was created as a programming-first event. Rather than functioning as a traditional music festival, the convention prioritized providing access to information and fostering connections. Following the strong turnout and significant national attention, organizers are already positioning NOODLE as a cornerstone cultural and innovation-focused event for the Hampton Roads region.
