Bastian Bux Brings Petit Comité of House to NYC for the First Time

House music has long served as a foundational pillar of New York City’s dance culture, with much of the genre’s DNA forged in the city’s historic warehouses and clubs. On July 17, one of Spain’s most versatile selectors, Bastian Bux, is bringing his vision of that culture back to its roots. The artist is set to host the New York debut of Petit Comité of House at H0L0 Yard in Ridgewood, marking the first time the Barcelona-born party series has touched down in the city.

Petit Comité is more than just a standard club night. It emerged as a direct response to a scene that Bux felt had drifted away from the core tenets of house music. The project is built on a simple, intentional philosophy: music crafted specifically for the dancefloor, an environment that encourages lingering, and an atmosphere centered on genuine human connection rather than hollow spectacle. This focused approach has already resonated across global hubs including Barcelona, Ibiza, Amsterdam, Miami, and Colombia, boasting fourteen events and over nine thousand attendees throughout 2025.

Following the success of the events, the project expanded into a record label in 2025. The imprint has seen rapid growth, with every one of its four releases securing a spot in the Beatport Top 10. Tracks like the debut single “Good Things” and EPs such as Life in Circles and Only U have helped solidify the label’s reputation for a soulful, direct sound.

For Bux, the New York debut holds profound significance. “The US, and New York in particular, played a huge role in shaping house music as we know it,” Bux noted. “Petit Comité exists because we fell in love with those original values: positivity, freedom, connection, and music that brings people together. Bringing the project to New York feels like coming full circle.”

The event is presented in partnership with Gray Area. Michael Julian, founder of Gray Area, emphasized the synergy between the two entities. “From day one, a big part of Gray Area’s purpose has been to help exceptional artists and tastemakers bring their vision to new territories while staying true to the communities and culture they’ve built,” Julian said. “We’re excited to welcome our good friend Bastian to our home and introduce the Petit Comité experience to New Yorkers.”

Bux will be joined by Chicago-based selector Monty Kiddo, known for his eclectic sound that bridges disco, funk, and classic house, as well as local talent Andrew Nak. Beyond the music, the event will feature the project’s signature aesthetic, including floral arrangements and a custom magnolia fragrance designed to create an immersive, intimate experience.

The event takes place on Saturday, July 17, at H0L0 Yard. For those who appreciate the foundational spirit of house music, this debut represents a rare opportunity to experience a curated, connection-first approach to the genre.
