The Junkyard Revival is taking over a secret San Diego location for one night only, bringing the full energy, art, and immersive sound that made the original stage so special.
The Revival is a collaboration between three of San Diego’s most exciting collectives: AMA Sounds, BODEGA, and The Usual Suspects. Each of these groups has played a pivotal role in shaping the city’s electronic music community. Together, they are recreating the immersive world of the Junkyard, blending art, community, and high-fidelity sound for an unforgettable evening.
A Legendary Lineup
Leading the charge is a roster of artists who defined this year’s Junkyard experience. Patricio, the architect behind the Junkyard sound, returns to the decks alongside GiZ and Nico Moon. Patricio has been spinning since 1992, bringing a depth of experience that keeps crowds locked on the dancefloor for hours. Joining him are GiZ, known for her dark, bass-driven sets, and Nico Moon, who brings a fluid blend of indie dance and house from his roots in Buenos Aires and Miami.
The lineup is rounded out by the extended Junkyard family, including Tyler Chase, Zohar, Mario Lui, Peopfit, and Polk. Each artist brings a distinct style, ensuring a diverse sonic journey that spans from Afro-house and minimal to melodic techno.
The Return of an Iconic Sound System
Sound is at the core of any Junkyard show, and for this revival, the organizers are pulling out all the stops. The event will feature a historic Turbosound system, a piece of audio history that helped define the Desert Renegade scene in the 1990s. Monoloco of The Usual Suspects has spent years meticulously refurbishing the system, restoring its components to ensure it delivers the crystal-clear detail and powerful low end for which it is renowned.
The Junkyard Revival takes place on Saturday, July 11, from 9:30 pm until late. The secret location will be revealed exclusively to ticket holders, promising an atmosphere where, as always, strangers become friends by sunrise.
