House icon Jack Back returns to Defected alongside CeCe Rogers for ‘Freedom 2024,’ a fresh take on the record reworked for today’s dancefloors.
One of the industry’s A-list names, David Guetta releases under his Jack Back alias as a reminder of his authentic house roots, partnering with Defected on many occasions since his chart-topping label debut ‘(It Happens) Sometimes’ in 2018.
In 2024, the producer has already released twice on the label’s Together series, first remixing Dennis Ferrer’s legendary ‘Hey Hey’ and then collaborating with South African house pioneer THEMBA for ‘Give Me Something To Hold’—now he returns to revamp one of his notable releases in Defected’s catalog, ‘Freedom.’
The collaboration with CeCe Rogers, one of house music’s most loved artists, first made waves in 2019, then receiving a remix from Defected House Master Harry Romero; this 2024 update to the much-loved record demonstrates Jack Back’s constantly evolving sound alongside CeCe’s unforgettable vocal.
