Doechii, the Grammy-winning artist, has just dropped the official video for her hit single, “Anxiety.”
Released last month via Top Dawg Entertainment and Capitol Records, the track has already taken off with over 272 million global streams and 85 million U.S. streams. Plus, her social media buzz has soared with over 23 billion views. Her online presence is massive, and it’s only growing.
The video for “Anxiety,” directed by James Mackel, matches the intense vibe of the song perfectly. In it, Doechii moves through an elegant home, but things quickly get strange. From a kitchen fire to a Doberman Pinscher on the hunt, a chandelier crashing down, and intruders smashing windows, the tension builds with every passing moment. The track has made an incredible impact, entering the top 10 of Billboard’s Hot 100 and making waves on radio, ranking in the top 20 at Top 40 and Urban stations, and landing in the top 10 at Rhythm radio. “Anxiety” follows in the footsteps of Doechii’s previous #1 hit, “DENIAL IS A RIVER.” She’s taking over the charts and proving she’s here for the long haul. Right now, “Anxiety” is sitting at #12 on the Spotify Global chart and in the top 5 of the UK’s Official Singles chart, while “DENIAL IS A RIVER” made a huge debut at No. 1 on the Official Physical Singles and Official Vinyl Singles charts.
And this success is no surprise. Earlier this year, Doechii won a GRAMMY for Best Rap Album with Alligator Bites Never Heal. The album hit #1 on Rolling Stone’s “20 Best Hip-Hop Albums of 2024” and also ranked in the top 10 on their overall “Best Albums of 2024” list.
