Don Lemon Launches New ‘Silence Is Not An Option’ Podcast to Tackle Racial Injustice Issues

Don Lemon has been putting in that work over at CNN and he is about to add to the workload.

Lemon dropped the first episode of his new podcast Silence Is Not An Option.

The debut episode features conversations with Dr. Ibram X. Kendi, a historian and scholar on race and discriminatory policy, and Dr. Christopher Petrell, the Director of Engagement at American University’s Antiracist Research and Policy Center.

According to Variety, Lemon says he had been discussing the idea of doing a podcast, “and then it so happened the opportunity presented itself” in the form of the national protests against racism taking place while the nation is the midst of grappling with the coronavirus pandemic. “I was just sort of like, ‘Come on, let’s do this.’”

Lemon was long overdue for a podcast. Hopefully, he brings that same energy from primetime straight into the podcast lane.

The first episode of Silence is Not an Option is out now and is available for streaming on CNN’s website. New episodes will drop on Thursdays.
