Kanye West & Drake Are Allegedly “Friends Now”

Kanye West and Drake have apparently mended their longstanding beef, per Karen Civil.

Back in 2018, Drake and Pusha T began their infamous rap beef, where the Good Music rapper dissed Drake on his album’s outro, “Infrared.” The album was one of five albums exclusively produced by West during his Wyoming sessions.

“Infrared” was followed by Drake’s “Duppy Freestyle,” which lead Pusha T to counter with “The Story of Adidon.” The latter revealed that the OVO honcho had a son, which was unbeknownst to the public at the time. The back and forth diss tracks, in addition to Ye’s release of “Lift Yourself” in an alleged troll effort to Drake after reportedly promising him the track, led to public discord between the two.

Ye began to take to Twitter alleging that Drake sent alarming threats to him. Drake’s Scorpion album was filled with subtle jabs at Ye in response to the previous events. In addition, Ye urged Drizzy to “calm down your light skinned” on “No Mistakes.”

Back in March, Drake released a 3-track EP, Scary Hours 2. On the Lil Baby assisted track, “Wants and Needs,” he says he should probably “link with Yeezy, I need me some Jesus.” His line led many to think he was ridiculing his newfound image Christian image. In this effort, Ye vowed to never make secular music again.

Well according to digital strategist, Karen Civil, the two legendary superstars are “friends now,” in response to LowKey’s theory.

The journalist and influencer “put money on” Drake dropping CLB to clash with Ye’s DONDA release date. Ye is set to release his 10th studio album on Friday.

While the theory seemed farfetched, it is not totally out of question. Karen Civil’s statement was later backed by Drake’s Instagram.

Drake currently follows Kanye on Instagram but unfollowed Justin Laboy after supporting Ye’s album promotion efforts. While it is confusing, to say the least, neither party has responded on the matter.

Kanye West will premiere DONDA at Mercedes Benz Stadium in ATL Thursday prior to its July 23 release.
