Once again recruiting some of the most talented and diverse selection of remix talent – L.A based duo Peppermint Heaven return with the emphatic new “Summer Revolution” remix package.
After an impressive 130,00 Spotify streams and 200,000 YouTube views in just a few weeks on the original track – the duo knew a set of remixes would help bring a fresh approach to the summer anthem.
A project that pulls no punches, flowing from synth-driven 80’s style pop – to chugging, nu-disco bliss. It continues a long-standing journey the duo have, working with remix talent across the underground electronic sphere.
The EP starts with a groove-rich, synth-pop remix from 7th Heaven. The vocals take center stage above an atmosphere of phased synths and bass stabs. We’re then treated to a warm and rich, synth composition from Kue. This track is clearly distinctive for it’s Daft Punk-esque bassline, providing an infectious groove throughout. Dirty Disco then takes us very quickly to clubland with their driving set of remixes. There’s a driving synth-bass throughout the tracks, providing a powerful groove to underpin the vocal samples and enviable use of nu-disco synth aesthetics.
