LOUIEJAYXX Take Control With Ethereal, Destructive Bass Music Single “Hi-Jack”

LOUIEJAYXX are a sibling production pair hailing from Texas.

The duo has been making waves with their diverse sound that traverses from dreamy melody-fueled bass music to festival-aimed dubstep and trap. Making their debut on NGHTMRE and SLANDER’s Gud Vibrations imprint comes “Hi-Jack,” a ravenous bass music cut serving as the lead single off their upcoming EP.

Showcasing their signature style, “Hi-Jack” effortlessly moves between ethereal soundscapes and blistering bass. Haunting vocal bends and entrancing melodies set the stage for the engrossing introduction. Breaking apart the mirage of serenity are snappy snares and foreboding air raid sirens that build immense anticipation. Revealing its destructive nature, “Hi-Jack” explodes with lightning-fast metallic synth leads, dense sub-bass, sloshing layers, crackling textures, and gritty distortion. The skull-crushing bass onslaught takes no prisoners, annihilating anything that dares to stand in its way. The echoed “technology” vocal sample caps the track off with a maddening loop that perfectly teases what may follow on the duo’s upcoming project.

Speaking to the aesthetic of their new single, LOUIEJAYXX shares: “With ‘Hi-Jack,’ we thought it was time to return to our roots! We wanted to express ourselves through dreamy and ethereal melodies. We love to create that tension that builds before the song’s climax. ‘HI-Jack’ is mainly about freeing your aura, and letting the emotion of the song drive the listener into a state of awe. We want to thank our team, fans, family and friends for always being there for us! Follow your hearts, and things eventually fall into place. We really hope you enjoy this new chapter of LOUIEJAYXX.”

Luis and Gerardo Carrillo are brothers and the producers behind LOUIEJAYXX pronounced [LOU-EE-JAY]. The Laredo, Texas residents have been making their mark on the bass scene with a diverse sonic signature that merges dreamy and melodic tendencies with heavy and intense contrasting elements. Their works have gained the support of notable tastemakers including lllenium, ATLiens, Crankdat, Sullivan King, and DJ Diesel. They are currently gearing up for a festival performance at EDC Las Vegas, Forbidden Kingdom, Bass Canyon, and will be supporting Excision on his ‘Nexus’ Tour stop at the Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory in Texas.

Drifting between dreamy and nightmarish, “Hi-Jack” is a raucous bass music anthem slated to devastate sound systems worldwide.
