PARTYNEXTDOOR apparently has beef with BET. The Canadian crooner took to Twitter to voice his frustration with the entertainment network following the award show nominee announcement. Although he deleted his initial post, DJ Akademiks was able to catch PND’s passionate tweet.
“When did black entertainment television get so complex and forget Partynextdoor is the rnb artist of our generation?” asked the “Savage Anthem” singer. “Is it because I don’t wanna be friends? Is it because i put value in the art instead of people?……… I am BET I am Complex.”
PARTNEXTDOOR did go on to say that he has been one of the biggest R&B influences in recent memory. The OVO Sound singer tells no lies. Many agreed with him on Twitter as well.
Although PARTY did not get nominated for a BET Award, his OVO labelmate and CEO, Drake, tied for the lead with 6 nods. Amanda Seales is this year’s host for the virtual event taking place on Sunday, June 28th.
