Lavar Ball’s ultimate dream of seeing all three of his sons playing in the NBA isn’t dead yet. LiAngelo Ball appears to be heading to the G League.
Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium reported the G League sent Ball a contract. Ball has been practicing with the Oklahoma City Blue, the Thunder’s G League affiliate.
Just as the story was breaking, the senior Ball was on Fox Sports airwaves doubling down about his prophecy of all three sons eventually in the NBA. Lavar also made a prediction about LiAngelo’s game.
“Gelo’s always been the best scorer, everywhere he goes,” LaVar said. “… When he gets in the NBA, within three years, I guarantee he’s the scoring champ—guarantee.”
With LaMelo Ball predicted to be a top-five pick in June’s NBA Draft and Lonzo Ball a point guard for the New Orleans Pelicans, it’s realistic to one day see all three Ball brothers in the league at the same time.
