T-Mass Remakes The Classic “Better Off Alone”

T-Mass’s reimagining of the all-time classic “Better Off Alone (feat. LaPetite)” is an energizing Phonk banger, offering hard hitting drums and a bouncy vocal chop that blend perfectly with the iconic lead melody and unforgettable vocals for an energetic, modern twist on a timeless hit.

Paying homage to the pivotal dance music original by Alice Deejay, T-Mass’s version of “Better Off Alone (feat. LaPetite) flexes his Phonk muscles, and gives the track a new reason to be played out in sets over 25 years after the original’s release.

T-Mass adds; “I’ve been enjoying breathing new life into some of my favorite dance songs from my childhood. By using sound design elements of new genres such as phonk and hyperpop, I remade the classic Better Off Alone. The disrespectful bassline, the compressed cowbells, and the heavily distorted vocals give me a serious case of bass face. I’m addicted to this dark sound design and super fast bpms. I like the challenge of making it sound like an old mp3 but also worthy of playing on large systems. I think I’m onto something.”
