trueColors is a melodic house imprint that is diving into their back catalogue to reinvigorate and reveal classic tracks from its roster.
It is a release that sees classic tracks by Zigan Aldi, Inámo, Umami and Monolink get remixed either by themselves or another artist on the release.
Monolink is one of the most instantly recognisable artists to feature on this release, as he has built a massive international following with the help of live streams on platforms such as Cercle, and releases on genre defining record labels such as Afterlife Records and Anjunadeep.
Teaming up with Monolink are Zigan Aldi and Umami who each collaborate with him on a track. “Fidale (I Feel)” is a track that was a big hit for Monolink and Zigan Aldi who on this release, uncover an instrumental version that removes the original’s stunning vocals to highlight the magnificent melodies of the synths hidden underneath. Umami and Monolink’s “Terra Mount” gets a dub remix by Inámo, who replaces the original’s vocal with some extra synths to create an uplifting version with added energy.
Inámo also provides a ‘Special Disco Mix’ of his track “La Llama ft. Niña indigo” that adds more percussion to create an Afro house version with a chunky groove.
Last of the four tracks sees Zigan Aldi return as a solo artist, and his track “Ahget” gets the remix treatment by Umami, who adds new vocals and removes the original’s bassline to give the percussion more control.
‘Insight, Vol. 1’ is a great release covering a broad range of melodic house styles, and you can buy a copy HERE.
