Zomboy Remixes Doctor P Single, ‘Big Boss’

The wait is finally over! Zomboy hits us with his long-awaited remix of the iconic ‘Big Boss’ by Circus co-founder Doctor P, set to drop 22nd February.

“If Christopher Nolan was directing a movie about the golden age of dubstep…. He probably would have made it sound a little something like this,” says Zomboy, offering a glimpse into his cinematic take. The original ‘Big Boss’ is a slice of dubstep history, remaining a staple track in the sets of bass DJs the world over.

“It has been an honour and a privilege to put my maximal take on this masterpiece. “Big Boss” was such an iconic song when I entered the dubstep scene. I’ve been playing this ID for years now, and I’m so pumped that it finally worked out for us to release it for all of you. So many times, an artist will play a dubplate for an extended period, and when it’s released, it sounds completely different. I almost went down the same path when I found out this was going to be released. However, I wanted to deliver the product you’ve all been hearing live.” – Zomboy

From a drummer in rock and metal bands to a pioneering figure in bass music, Zomboy has gone on to headline stages worldwide and festivals like Lost Lands, EDC, Bass Canyon, Dancefestopia and many more. In 2022, he launched Rott N’ Roll Records to advance electronic music and showcase the wealth of talent in the bass scene.

Zomboy approaches the remix with the utmost respect for its legacy while also stamping his trademark and making his very welcome Circus Records debut. ‘Big Boss’ releases on the 22nd of February!
