Duanna Unveils Transformative Debut EP, Lona

Before dropping her debut EP Lona, Duanna was already flexing her musical muscles with original scores for Calvin Klein and the Time’s Up Foundation — no small feat for an artist on the rise. Her cinematic flair has earned her spots at the Atlanta Film Festival, Chicago Film Festival, and Palm Springs International ShortFest, proving she’s not just playing around. Her 2024 singles “Apex,” “Ruins,” and “Haleine” didn’t hurt her case either, racking up attention and setting the stage for her latest release.

Enter Lona — a five-track saga that turns introspection into an art form. Self-written and mostly self-produced, the EP pulls listeners into a swirl of dreamy pop, subtle electronic, and downtempo beats. It’s a move for an artist still making her own way, but Duanna’s unique style makes it all come together.

Duanna describes Lona as a balancing act between light and dark, strength and vulnerability — a sonic diary of sorts. The EP proves that Duanna’s diving headfirst into some new sounds here.

For anyone who likes their pop with a side of depth and their lyrics a bit introspective, Lona is a ride worth taking.
