Kai Wachi has released his sophomore album, NEKROSIS, through Kannibalen Records. The 13-track project spans multiple styles and collaborations, delivering a comprehensive look at how far the Boise producer has come in his artistic journey.
Known for bridging genres and incorporating melodic weight into heavy bass production, Kai uses this album to further define that duality. The album’s lead single “PRECIOUS” opens with force, followed by standout tracks like “FURY,” “ILL,” and “Heart Goes Blind.” Each track maintains his signature power but also shows a more refined sense of arrangement and emotional pacing.
Collaborators on NEKROSIS include Julienne By, Isaac Mather, Trella, and Saint Miller. Melodic tracks such as “Hold Onto Me” and the closing song “Be There For You” expand the emotional range of the album while keeping it cohesive. These songs in particular highlight Kai’s attention to songwriting and his ability to move beyond just sound design.
Following his debut LP DEMIGOD and years of work across the bass and hybrid electronic spaces, NEKROSIS is a clear progression—an album that carries both scale and substance. With a release tour planned and a major Red Rocks date alongside BTSM under the SKULL MACHINE project, this phase of Kai Wachi’s career feels focused and full of momentum.
