Gryffin warms up for summer with Ultra ID-turned single with Kid Joi, ‘Oceans’

In 2020, the pandemic had robbed everyone of witnessing Gryffin‘s first time at Bayfront Park since 2017. But fast forward to 2023 and Gryffin was finally able to make that reunion happen after six years, swapping out the live stage for a prime sunset slot just a few hours after Ultra opened its gates. And just a week after delivering “Dreams“—the nostalgic cut from his Hawaii stream that would welcome his post-Alive chapter—Gryffin traveled to Miami to continue to pull the curtain back on what that new era would look like. One of the three IDs he debuted has now been given the release go ahead, with Gryffin delivering “Oceans” with Kid Joi.

As the sun gradually set behind Bayfront Park, Gryffin took the opportunity during his set’s halfway point to formally unveil “Oceans.” And as he explained, it continues to revisit the “housier side of the project” that he’d already dug back into with the first single since his sophomore album came out. That’s exactly how “Oceans” can be summed up, with Gryffin and Kid Joi putting in a convincing bid for a defining release of the coming warm weather season. Stream “Oceans” below and see exactly why.
