Breakaway Mass has never pretended to be a house festival, and the 2026 bill doubles down on that instinct. Returning to Palladium Outdoors in Worcester August 21–22, Breakaway Mass will bring 24 acts to New England for a two-day run headlined by Zedd, Excision, Gryffin, and a Sullivan King sunset set. The Palladium is one of the more unusual venues on the Breakaway circuit—a downtown venue with an outdoor footprint rather than a stadium apron—and the programming has always felt tuned to that.

Excision is the definitional booking. Two decades into a career that effectively built the American bass festival economy, he remains the most reliable draw in heavy dubstep, and the Worcester crowd is exactly the audience for it. Sullivan King’s sunset slot is smart scheduling: the metal-and-dubstep hybrid he’s spent years refining plays best with some light still in the sky, and it gives the day a genuine inflection point rather than just another main stage set.
Zedd and Gryffin cover the melodic flank, and the contrast with the rest of the bill is stark enough to function as a real programming choice. Crankdat sits between the two poles, INZO brings the psychedelic bass end, and Wax Motif holds down the house corner nearly on his own—a notable inversion of how most of Breakaway’s 2026 stops are weighted.
The depth is where this one gets interesting. Devault continues to be one of the more genuinely unclassifiable producers working, Łaszewo’s indie-electronic songwriting is an outlier on a bill this heavy, and Jkyl & Hyde, OMNOM, YDG, Know Good, HILLS, Tsu Nami, Steller, Gardella, Mojave Grey, EFFIN, and No Thanks fill out the roster. it’s murph makes his second Breakaway appearance of the month after Michigan the week prior. New England locals BREAKBOMB, BYEU, and COWSON round out the bill.
Gates open at 4 p.m. both days, with music through 11 p.m. Two-day GA, GA Early Entry, VIP, Terrace, and Ultimate VIP passes are available through the Breakaway website starting at $179.
