Ahead of gracing the Fremont Stage at Life is Beautiful 2022, Alison Wonderland announced a brand new illustrative undertaking. Coining it “the coolest thing [she’s] released in a while,” Loner—the official graphic novel—visually transcribes the foundational themes reflected in the veteran producer’s identically named third studio album. Alison Wonderland took to Instagram to spread the word on the new project:
“‘Loner’ my graphic novel is on sale now. I got to delve deeper into my album’s themes of loss, evolving, pulling myself out of the darkness, turning my weakness into something extremely powerful and not settling for unhappiness.”
The “Something Real” singer went on to praise the efforts of the seven visual artists who contributed to the impeccably detailed, texturally rich hardcover—previewing slides of the collection. Produced in tandem with Z2 Comics, which boasts previous collaborations with the likes of Gorillaz and YUNGBLUD, Loner the graphic novel is now available for pre-sale, scheduled to be shipment-ready in January 2023.
