Beloved open-air oasis Brooklyn Mirage is readying its reopening with a series of shows that will formally welcome attendees back to the sprawling, palm tree-bedecked venue for cross-genre programming from July onward. Brooklyn Mirage events will formally resume with a July 1 grand reopening set from MEDUZA, followed by appearances from REZZ on July 2, Black Coffee on July 4, and Chris Lake on July 14.
On June 2, Brooklyn Mirage additionally revealed that a back-to-back set enlisting the live mixing expertise of none other than Claude VonStroke and Green Velvet under their Get Real alias would replace Dirtybird BBQ Brooklyn. The booty shakin’ beats can be caught on September 10. Following the pattern of daily show revelations set in place across June 1 – 2, live music lovers can likely expect more events to be announced in the days to come.
The Mirage’s reinstallation of live programming follows New York Governor Andrew Cuomo‘s recent announcement that the city’s businesses and public venues can operate at full capacity without enforcing mask wearing or social distancing guidelines, provided that all attendees can provide proof of vaccination. In accordance with New York State mandates, all event goers must be fully vaccinated in order to attend events not only at Brooklyn Mirage/Avant Gardner, but also The Great Hall and The Kings Hall. The CDC defines “fully vaccinated” as two weeks after administration of the second dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna vaccines, or two weeks after the administration of the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
Ticket holders will be required to show proof of vaccination via one of three mediums: CrowdPass, which captures a secure, digital proof of an individual’s COVID-19 vaccination card; the New York States Excelsior Pass; or a physical vaccination card. More information about Brooklyn Mirage/Avant Gardner, The Great Hall, and The Kings Hall COVID-19 safety protocols and the refund policy is available here. Tickets to all upcoming shows can be purchased here.
