Carl Cox takes listeners back to old school raves with brand new BBC Radio 1 set

Carl Cox took to BBC Radio 1 to share an old school rave set, chock-full of the setlist gems of yesteryears, strung together with a heaping dose of sweaty warehouse appeal. Cox’s recent rave set included tracks from Frank De Wulf, Collapse, D-Shake, and more, transporting listeners back to the rave sounds of a different era, and of course showing off Cox’s legendarily deep crates.

Cox began a residency with BBC Radio 1 last month, starting off with a soul, funk, disco, boogie, and house set. Additionally, he released the blissful single “Sand, Moon & Stars” just last month. The legendary British selector’s new mix also comes after Vintage Culture, Duck Sauce, Disclosure, Amelie Lens, and Joy Orbison‘s recent sessions for BBC Radio 1.

In case the new old school rave set doesn’t quite satisfy all your Carl Cox cravings, Mix Session recently also highlighted Cox’s 2001 set at Ultra Music Festival as part of our Good Morning Mix series.
