Esteemed San Francisco dance imprint and DA‘s Top Label of the Decade, Dirtybird recently opened the doors to its own web3 nightclub with DJ sets from the likes of Nikki Nair, Justin Jay, Mz Worthy, Catz ‘n Dogz, and of course label helmer Claude VonStroke. Aptly called Birdhain, a newly added component of the Birdyverse, the island features several club spaces including a festival area and a virtual bar. DJ sets are set to be running every day and night, referencing famous Berlin nightclub Berghain.
Birdhain access is also exclusive, where entry includes the holding of one of the label’s Dirtybird Flight Club NFTs created by acclaimed digital artist Birdcap. Users are able to roam the metaverse and chat with other holders, and for the NFT-less drifters of the metaverse, fear not, users can still explore the island for free but access to certain areas will be restricted.
While current reviews of the virtual island are mixed, Claude VonStroke has stated that it will take some time and experimenting to get all of the details in place. For now, a new space to virtually shake one’s rump is good enough.
