Disclosure, Fred again.. among those nominated at 2022 Libera Awards

On June 16, the American Association of Independent Music (A2IM) will extend its 17-year tradition of honoring exceptional independent artists and labels at the 2022 Libera Awards. The newly published list of nominees include electronic heavyweights Disclosure, Keys N Krates, Fred again.., Jungle, and Caribou, among others. Disclosure’s “DJ-Kicks,” Jungle’s “Living In Stereo,” Keys N Krates “Original Classic,” and Fred again..’s “Stay High again…” remix are all up for Best Dance Record. Caribou’s “You Can Do It” has been nominated for Best Electronic Record, competing against releases from Flying Lotus, Dawn Richard, Arca, and Park Hye Jin.

The aforementioned categories reflect just 2 of the 33 awards to be granted in June. Experimental pop icon Japanese Breakfast has drawn the most recognition from the A2IM this year, having secured seven total nominations across a diverse range of categories.
