Billionaire CEO of SpaceX and Tesla, Elon Musk, has decided not to sell his song about non-fungible tokens (NFTs) as an NFT after all.
In a tweet, the self-proclaimed “Technoking of Tesla,” released a house track about NFTs. Within 24 hours, the song about NFTs that Musk intended to sell as an NFT was worth more than $1.1 million after Musk’s tweet was made available on Cent, a platform that tokenizes Twitter posts and allows users to auction and place bids. Though Musk was poised to rake it in, he later had a change of heart; “Actually, doesn’t feel quite right selling this. Will pass,” he stated.
The South African-born entrepreneur has expressed his love for dance music a multitude of times in recent years. He previously shared the techno-themed “Don’t Doubt ur Vibe” in January of 2020, and also teased a “tunnel rave” in celebration of the completion of the Las Vegas Loop, as well as a “mega rave cave” under his Brandenburg Tesla facility in Germany.
