This year, up-and-coming DJs have an opportunity to find their place not among Gem & Jam‘s crowd, but before it. Dancing Astronaut has partnered with Gem & Jam to support a DJ mix contest that will award one lucky winner an opening set slot at the music festival, to take place from February 4 – 6, 2022 at Tucson, Arizona’s Pima County Fairgrounds.
To enter, competitors need only to upload a 30-minute mix by 11:55 p.m. MT on January 21. Festival organizers will vote on their favorite mix, and the winner will be notified via email by January 26. In addition to the opening set slot, the winner will also receive two three-day festival tickets with two VIP upgrades, a car camping pass, and a $100 travel stipend. Mixes can be submitted below.
Gem & Jam’s 2022 installment features a variety of electronic talent including Shpongle, STS9, Liquid Stranger, Claude VonStroke, Goldfish, and many, many more.
