Eric Prydz signals ‘The Return’ of Pryda with alias’ first release in four years

After four long years, Eric Prydz has returned to his progressive house alias, Pryda. Also released under Pryda Recordings, “The Return” could not be a more fitting name for the literal comeback of Pryda. Just the first piece of his upcoming EP—with “Of Me” slated for July 28—”The Return” makes for an exciting revival of Eric Prydz officially releasing music. Known for his hundreds of unreleased IDs that will likely stay live exclusives, any Eric Prydz release is something that can’t be taken for granted. After dispersing his remix of Anyma and Chris Avantgarde‘s “Consciousness,” “The Return” also doubles as Prydz’s first release in nearly a year and first single of any kind since 2020’s “NOPUS.”

First debuted at Ushuaïa Ibiza’s 2023 opening party, “The Return” has been an essential record in Prydz’s tracklists throughout the summer. Paired with a stunning visual of an astronaut trapped inside a cage, “The Return” leans on its synth base while using an uplifting, progressive melody, being designed for the dark club while also invigorating the life of Eric Prydz’s performance. Returning to a  Ibiza club residency for the first time since 2018, Prydz is currently amidst headlining arguably one of the most in-demand parties of the season, introducing the first-ever club version of HOLO. With a welcoming home for the remainder of the 2023 summer and still more Pryda to come later this month, Eric Prydz is guaranteed to put on countless must-see shows that are filled with new IDs, and hopefully more upcoming singles.
