“I wanted to make a path for singers in the future. I wanted to make a stand that singers can have live shows in dance music too,” HALIENE stated in her April 2021 Supernovas interview with Dancing Astronaut. In recent months, the American singer-songwriter, born Kelly Sweet, has done just that. After laying claim to her very own set time at EDC Las Vegas’ 2021 iteration, where she performed live from the festival’s quantumVALLEY stage, HALIENE is continuing to set a new standard for singers-songwriters in the dance industry by announcing her own headlining tour. Christened after her September 2021 single, “Glass Heart,” HALIENE’s Glass Heart Tour will route her through a slew of cities, starting with Sunnyvale, California on April 15. Although more dates are to be announced, at present, the tour will also touch Seattle, San Francisco, San Diego, Los Angeles, Miami, Denver, and, newly announced, Las Vegas.
“If you’ve never seen me live, here is a taste of what you’re in for! I sing live, [Matthew Steeper] DJs behind me, and we put on an epic show,” HALIENE wrote in a March 12 Instagram post. “We love creating custom mashups and exclusive live versions with my songs…I wanted to chart a new course in this industry, creating a hybrid show of concert and club, depth and drops, lyrics and lasers! I can’t wait for you to experience it.”
Of note, the Glass Heart Tour will take fellow Dancing Astronaut Supernova and Artist to Watch AMIDY, along with HALIENE. Tickets to the live initiative can be found on HALIENE’s website.
