Following the mid-March announcement that Above & Beyond had partnered with British film composer Darren Tate to soundtrack the 40-minute, nature-focused documentary, The Last Glaciers. Filled with ambient and cinematic sound choices, the tracklist fits the production’s panoramic views like a glove.
Following director Craig Leesons’ recent and acclaimed project, A Plastic Ocean, The Last Glaciers brings the same level of awareness to the largest man-made problem in our environment, climate change. From Antarctica to the Himalaya, the Alps, and the Andes, The Last Glaciers touches on the causes and effects of climate change, as well as what humanity can do to aid relief efforts. “By exploring the glaciers, I hope to inspire the next generation to be the voice of change…There’s still time to save our world,” states Lession.
