Hudson Mohawke has announced Cry Sugar, his first artist album since the lauded 2015 release of Lantern. The Scottish musician accompanied the news with the release of two brand new tracks, titled “Cry Sugar – Megamix,” and “Bicstan.” The LP is set for an August 12 release, as announced on Mohawke’s Instagram with a characteristically zany visual teaser.

It’s likely that the lead single on the current release, “Cry Sugar – Megamix” is a chopped up sampler of what’s to come on the upcoming LP, the fourth to Mohawke’s name for those who count his scoring of Playstation’s Watch Dogs 2. The B-side of the release, however, shows the ruckus-inducing club energy that fans can expect from the upcoming album.
