When rapper Mac Miller died on September 7, 2018, an entire generation of music lovers was left reeling. An outpouring of grief flooded social media platforms, where celebrities and fans alike shared stories of how Miller and his music touched their lives. Even as the second anniversary of his untimely passing approaches, the pain associated with his loss is still reverberating throughout the music community.
On July 21, Miller’s team at Warner Records announced a second Mac Miller tribute project in the works. The first project came in the form of a posthumous album, Circles, released in January 2020. Little is known about the new project at this stage. Miller’s team is currently inviting fans to share stories and memories concerning the rapper via a toll-free hotline, but so far, this is the only detail about the commemorative undertaking that has been disclosed.
