Premiere: Pauline Herr, Jon Casey unite for debut collaborative single, ‘Toxic’

Pauline Herr and Jon Casey have both earned labels of being two of the hottest up-and-coming names in dance music. Now, Herr—a Dancing Astronaut Artist to Watch alumni—and Casey have formally joined forces on Lowly. for their debut collaborative effort “Toxic.”

And the crossover seemed inevitable after the two announced the Collision Tour a week earlier, which is a string a string of four headline dates in Tempe, San Francisco, Salt Lake City and Denver—in support of Alison Wonderland at the live music mecca that is Red Rocks—where the two will be performing special back-to-back sets. Both artists have a propensity to dabble in a number of styles and genres while refusing to be tied down to a singular sound, and “Toxic” is yet another refreshing blend of styles from the two producers. It can only be described as a perfectly balanced collaboration, with a palpable level of equal input from both Casey and Herr, which not only further signals their rise in the scene but cements them as artists who have properly arrived.

“Toxic” is out everywhere via Lowly. on September 1, but can be streamed in full one day early, exclusively on Dancing Astronaut.
