Stryer is continuing his rampant release run in 2023 with a new four-track EP, The Source. Its lead single—and melodic bass anthem—”Stronger” alongside Concrete Castles had kicked off the rollout to the well-rounded project, and is now joined by “Hydro Cannon,” “Tidal Wave,” and “In Your Eyes” with Luxtides to round out the Dancing Astronaut Artist to Watch in 2023‘s latest delivery on Rude Service.
The Source is a textbook example of Stryer’s quintessential melodic depth, drawing inspiration from different sounds that he’d came up on throughout the years. And with heavy elements that merge both bass and rock—also infused with angsty lyrics and euphoric crescendos—The Source delivers four distinctive pieces that provide a true reflection of both what inspired the Denver-based producer growing up and what continues to inspire him and his art moving forward. The Rude Service release—which marks Stryer’s fourth EP dating back to his debut in 2019—also comes complete with an official music video to accompany it and follows 2021’s Raindrops, 2022’s Full Moon and The Escape EPs.
