Tchami discusses musical upbringing, collaborating with Lady Gaga on latest episode of GAGA RADIO

Lady Gaga invited none other than house music figurehead and close collaborator Tchami to grace the last episode of GAGA RADIO on Apple Music. Tchami, who co-produced Chromatica, including production credits on the LP’s breakout singles “Rain On Me” featuring Ariana Grande and “Stupid Love,” has a lengthy history of working with Gaga. The duo initially came together in 2013 for Gaga’s single “Applause,” and they continue to prove they are a force to be reckoned with in 2020.

During the new episode, the two artists discuss everything from being seen as individuals to their creative process as Chromatica came to life. Tchami fans will be excited to learn more about the producer’s upbringing and background.

Speaking to Gaga, hot off the heels of her VMAs performance reveals, Tchami reveals, “Music has been a part of my life since I was four years old and I’ve been taking piano lessons thanks to my parents. So I’ve been in the classical world at first. Later, I think I just flipped towards hip-hop and that was my teenage love. And then around 18, 19 years old, I was all about house music, electronic music. And later on, blog house came and we had this immense energy, new type of blending hip-hop and house together, and we had a good branch in France. So I wasn’t part of that yet because my production level was not along the level that I wanted to be. So I just kept doing my thing until the Tchami project came along and here we are.”
