What So Not and San Holo went head to head last week as the final competitors on Brownies & Lemonade‘s Beat Smash series. The series has offered a fun and playful environment for industry names to host a little friendly competition, with artists playing their own hits, remixes, edits, unreleased IDs, and even composing beats in real time.
Starting off the rivalry, San Holo treated viewers to an unreleased edit, earning a heartfelt compliment from What So Not and replying with an equally moving, “Thanks, man. I love you.” It’s evident that this “rivalry” was still coated in a firm sense of community and appreciation. With the following tracks creating more and more fan enjoyment, the two venerated producers were the perfect choice to close out the series.
Since its inception, Beat Smash has seen performances from the likes of lauded acts such as QUIX, Juelz, TYNAN, Blanke, and many more. Check out the finale below.
