And with a new album in the works, she taps another Chicano Rap legend in Lil Rob (“Summer Nights”) for her lead single and music video, titled “Still In Love.” Stream it here.

Directed by Matthew Freiheit. Inspired by the classic 60s and 70s cruise style, Claudia Liz stars as a distance lover wandering around an empty mansion, waiting for her love interest — the legendary Lil Rob — to return to her warm embrace. Using that classic corner quartet-shoebox style, Rob, a street runner in the visual, drops a guest verse of reassurance that no matter what their love endures, everything will be alright.
He raps, “And I would do anything/Drop everything if you need me/Whenever you need me/Believe me, you’ll see me/Sometimes we get crazy/But you’re still my baby (baby, baby)/And I love you baby/So don’t you worry about a thing at night/Sleep tight because everything will be alright/I promise you things will be straight if we wait.”

For Latin culture, the song and visual praises the lowrider car culture ever beloved in the inner-city streets across the West Coast. Blending the classic car culture with traditional Latin heritage. For lovers, its the perfect summertime fling soundtrack as they cruise around the streets.
Claudia Liz has recorded Mariachi standards and original songs in many genres, including titles that have been placed in TV and Film. In 2020, she started working on a very special project for the Godfather of Chicano Rap, Kid Frost. This project was perfect for Claudia Liz, as the project focused on cruising music, original songs that followed in the musical tradition and style of 60’s and 70’s Soul, Latin Soul, and Lowrider Oldies, sometimes referred to now as Souldies.
