Brand Strategist ‘Aye Yo Kells’ Continues to Lift as She Climbs

The role of a publicist may differ for some, but for “Aye Yo Kells,” she sums it up quite simple.

“We are the direct correlation between a person, brand, business, product and the media.”

From brand development and media relations to crisis management and more, Kells has worked to execute the number of stories told by her clients. Some of which include US Presidential candidates, grammy award winners and nominees, reality TV personalities, and more. But the road to having the opportunity to bring her clients’ stories to life was one filled with hardship, perseverance, and commitment.

After graduating from Clafin University and Voorhees College in 2017, she moved to Charlotte, NC. While battling depression and an eating disorder stemming from an abusive romantic relationship, she decided to escape the relationship and walk on the destined path for her light to glow.

From homelessness to working several jobs and taking on PR projects in the meantime, she received a call to work with Love & Hip-Hop star Masika Kaylysha for NBA All-Star weekend in Charlotte.

The success of the high-profiled weekend sparked a new journey of prosperity for “Kells,” leading to working with 21 Savage, Boosie Badazz, FOX Network, Club LIV, and more. She later founded The Jamison Agency, which stands as the umbrella for representing her clients and campaigns.

“Success to me is generational wealth,” she says. “It is investments and financial literacy. When I can do what I want to based on the things I’ve invested in, then I have succeeded.”

She credits her faith and ability to persist through trial and error as the main source of her success.

In addition, the South Carolina native also founded ‘Creators Who Hustle – a network with a mission to empower, uplift, and share resources for those looking to enter the entertainment industry.

This is only one example of her intention to lift as she climbs.

As a decorated entrepreneur and philanthropist, she has received several accolades, including a Women In Media Award, The People’s Choice Award, Rising Publicist of the year, and more.

Jamison’s work has been recognized by Forbes, XO Necole, Blavity, Voyage ATL, to name a few. If “the price keeps going up” was a person, it’ll be “Aye Yo Kells.”
