IVORY Unveils New Single, ‘Trenches’ Featuring Big Jest

Paris-based producer IVORY has been behind some of the most destructive sounds in dubstep, boasting a catalog that includes boundary-breaking riddim, trench, and tearout that spans the last decade.

Making his debut on Bassrush comes the gritty grime-meets-riddim anthem, “Trenches,” alongside esteemed South London emcee Big Jest.

“Trenches” lives up to its name, calling in the heavy artillery for a battle-ready banger that fuses the best from both artists. Haunting vocal bends lay the foundation that bleeds through like a haunting war cry. Big Jest controls the track with a militant delivery, tactical bars, and lethal thematic wordplay. Icy synths and drill-inspired 808 slides add to the grime-leaning intro before stray gunshot samples and commanding percussion shift the scene. Ivory brings in the rail-riding cavalry with a diabolic riddim onslaught. Metallic sounds enhance the laser leads, glitchy textures, destructive drums, and soul-shaking low-end. A vocal-driven break resets the scene and brings back the anthemic appeal before the epic climax of dubstep destruction. This one is a festival weapon of the highest grade.

Expressing his excitement for the release, IVORY says, “Big Jest and I teamed up for what’s probably my heaviest song to date! His voice is incredible on this track; he really brought my vision to life. Can’t wait for everyone to hear it!”

Hailing from Paris, France, IVORY is a certified veteran in the scene with a career stretching over a decade across dubstep, riddim, drum & bass, and breaks. His impressive career showcases collaborations alongside Shaquille O’Neal, NITTI, Dirtyphonics, Bear Grillz, Kompany, SampliFire, plus remixes for Gryffin, SLANDER, Wooli, Kayzo, Herobust, Space Laces, and Spag Heddy. He is currently gearing up for his debut headline show in L.A. and has upcoming festival performances at Lost Lands, Bass Canyon, and Bass Ribbon Pines Festival.

Big Jest is a South London wordsmith who earned the name ‘Punchline King’ for his sharp, linguistic wit. He was crowned winner of ‘The Rap Game UK’ series on BBC Three and has worked with a wide range of talents including Benny Banks, Scorcher, K Trap, and Belly Squad. His viral hit “Gulag” has garnered over a million streams on Spotify alone.

Gritty, inventive, and merciless, “Trenches” is an impeccable mix of IVORY’s dubstep mastery and Big Jest’s show-stealing raps.
