Paris-based producer IVORY has been behind some of the most destructive sounds in dubstep, boasting a catalog that includes boundary-breaking riddim, trench, and tearout that spans the last decade.
Making his debut on Bassrush comes the gritty grime-meets-riddim anthem, “Trenches,” alongside esteemed South London emcee Big Jest.
“Trenches” lives up to its name, calling in the heavy artillery for a battle-ready banger that fuses the best from both artists. Haunting vocal bends lay the foundation that bleeds through like a haunting war cry. Big Jest controls the track with a militant delivery, tactical bars, and lethal thematic wordplay. Big Jest is a South London wordsmith who earned the name ‘Punchline King’ for his sharp, linguistic wit. He was crowned winner of ‘The Rap Game UK’ series on BBC Three and has worked with a wide range of talents including Benny Banks, Scorcher, K Trap, and Belly Squad. His viral hit “Gulag” has garnered over a million streams on Spotify alone.
