Nüur is back on the Earthly Delights record label with an impressive Afro house release titled Bica, and it features three original tracks with a feel-good sound.
This is the third EP that Nüur has released via Earthly Delights, and it includes three original tracks. Two tracks are solo productions, and the third is a collaboration with Øsskar, who is a new artist that appears to be making their first official release.
Although, Øsskar might be new on the scene, Nüur is a well-established producer who has also featured his music on other respected record labels such as Camel VIP, Shango Records and MoBlack Records.
Originally from Colombia and currently living in the United Kingdom, Nüur is an accomplished artist who has been building a respected reputation as a DJ and producer since dropping his first release in 2019.
“Bica” opens the release with a marimba melody that intertwines with shuffling percussion and ceremonial vocal chants. The spiralling tones of the lead synth lift the second half of the track, which gives a release of energy when the drums are reintroduced after the main breakdown section.
“Mi Gente” is next up, and it’s a track that’s signified by deep tom drums and dramatic conga hits to ensure the percussion is at the heart of the groove. It has an emotive vocal with some digitised processing that help fuse the organic drum sounds and electric melody synth.
“Anuk” closes the release with an upbeat groove that layers conga drums with sweeping strings, and an improvised melody synth that gives the breakdown a jazz influence. There is an urgency within the energy of this track, and it’s the one that has been made in collaboration with Øsskar.
