As race relations intensify around the country, celebrities have been weighing in on the climate of American society and what can be done to bring the country back together. Fox New correspondent Laura Ingraham gave her perspective of Kevin Durant and Lebron James’ opinion about Saints QB Drew Brees, who says he doesn’t respect athletes who are protest kneeling during the National Anthem. As seen below, Ingraham thinks politics and sports should be kept separate. Unless, of course, you agree with Brees.
However, when it came t Brees’ comments, the far right commentator said, “Well, he’s allowed to have his view about what kneeling and the flag means to him. I mean, he’s a person. He has some worth, I imagine. I mean, this is beyond football, though. This is totalitarian conduct. This is Stalinist. And by the way, on the streets of New Orleans, we’re looking at live pictures, they’re shouting ‘F Drew Brees.’ That’s what this moment has done to the beautiful team spirit of the New Orleans Saints.”
